Key Information for Used 30ft Containers
Our 30ft Used Refurbished Container is formed from a cut-downstandard 40ft Used Shipping Container which are fitted with either a new set of double doors or corrugated panel. They are guaranteed wind and watertight and are resprayed externally in dark green and internally in grey.
Our 30ft Refurbished Container is no longer cargo worthy, and unable to be used to be shipped.
30ft Container Construction
Shipping containers as standard come in 20ft & 40ft lengths. To form a 30ft Shipping Container, a standard 40ft Shipping Container is cut down from a good condition used, wind and watertight cargo worthy shipping container. The double doors or end panel is then re-welded into position (also known as “cut & shut”). The width and height of 30ft containers is the same as standard length units (8ft 6″ high & 8ft wide).
Unless otherwise stated, due to the fabrication our 30ft containers are re-sprayed externally in our traditional dark green (although other colours are available on request – costs of other colours will depend on the colour). We also weld a lockbox on the double doors for security.
These containers are popular when you just don’t quite have the space for a full 40ft shipping container, or need something slightly bigger than a 20ft container.
Shipping containers are manufactured using high quality corrugated cor-ten steel which is designed to stand up to the harsh rigours of sea conditions. We would expect a properly maintained used refurbished shipping container to last you in excess of 20 years from date of purchase. A 30ft steel container refurbished by us will also last just as long.
